In a few minutes, 20 MUs and spouses will depart the hotel for an evening of baseball, the Kansas City Royals versus the Cleveland Somebody-or-others.
Other parties are heading downtown for dinner at barbecue smokehouses or Kansas City steakhouses. Obviously, a lot of us are here already. MUs trickled in all day long and tomorrow the trickle will turn into a steadier flow.
We're having our excursions now so we'll be ready for Wednesday. This will probably be my last extended time away from the Hilton; once things get going, I won't want to miss a single minute.
Since I'll we away for the evening, this will likely be my last post of the day. I'll be back in full force tomorrow morning.
