Here is some recently-restored footage of the ceremony on the USS Missouri at which representatives of the Empire of Japan signed the Instrument of Surrender on 2SEP45. The Navy band can be seen playing in the background near the top of the screen.
Footage begins after credits at 1:50. The band appears first at 4:45 and intermittently thereafter.
